GERONIMO STILTON Book 30: THE MOUSE ISLAND MARATHON
Geronimo is shocked when Thea and Trap congratulate him on being such a "sportsmouse." Have they confused him with someone who can actually do something athletic? But when his friend Champ shows up, the mystery is cleared up: Champ informs Geronimo that he signed him up for the Mouse Island Marathon. Geronimo's co-workers are tickled pink and treat him like he’s a hero.
The next morning, Champ wakes up Geronimo way too early in order to train him for the race. Geronimo is less than delighted. Training month after month is absolute torture, even with Geronimo's family members cheering him on. Geronimo keeps on putting one running shoe in front of the other while dread of the actual race builds inside him. As he heads for the city in which the race will be held, he reads the newspaper and discovers that a horrifying wild cat is on the loose. Could this be a bad omen?
The Mouse Island Marathon turns out to be the most eventful race you'll ever read about, full of funny, exciting, heartwarming and frightening events. Readers also get a little information about marathons and tips on how to build a strong, marathon-worthy, healthy body.
