GERONIMO STILTON Book 16: A CHEESE-COLORED CAMPER
Geronimo's Grandfather William (also known as Cheap Mouse Willy) persuades him to join Thea, Benjamin, Trap, his cook, and himself on a trip to cold, dark, remote Ratzikistan. Grandfather William expects Geronimo to write a guidebook. Geronimo doesn't want to go --- but, of course, his relatives talk him into it. Benjamin and Trap get sick, so the rest head off in Grandfather William's enormous cheddar-colored camper.
After the group gets lost in a dark forest, his family forces Geronimo to go for help. How does he cope? First he sobs, and then he worries. Next, he shivers, gulps, and screeches at a shadow that keeps following him. To his relief, he discovers that the rodent belonging to the shadow is a fan of his books. Unfortunately, the fan informs Geronimo that they're in Fossil Forest, not Ratzikistan.
When the travelers finally reach Ratzikistan, poor Geronimo goes on some wild snow rides, ends up in a snow bank, burns his mouth on pizza, and tries a bunch of sports he hates. They all decide that no one in his "rat" mind would ever buy a guidebook to Ratzikistan. When they are most disappointed, a lucky find saves their trip from being a waste --- and Geronimo discovers an unexpected bonus to traveling with family.
